Desire outcome is to find area of opportunity to help meet business goal. Users expressing confusion or pain points?
Task asked to complete:
While insurance shopping you are looking to get a free quote first from an agent at your desired time and date by a phone call.
Qualitative Method Used
8 Users were given a task to complete within the prototype without any guidance through Zoom
Asked user to verbalize ALL thoughts as they went through the prototype. Users would tell me what to click on and navigate to next as I had control of the mouse.
Notes taken on laptop while observing user actions and thought process from start to finish of their free quote process (unable to record sessions to re-review)
Pain Points
Users feel like more questions needed for accurate quote
Not everyone might know where to find the VIN number or Driver License number
Compare coverages before speaking to someone
Dropdown for Make/Model/Year
Gains
Easy & User Friendly
Reasonable questions
Users prefer dropdown options instead of it all being listed
Confirmation Page
Not a time consuming process

Iterations
Added email section and more questions to provide a more accurate quote once on the phone.
Added “?” to help figure out where/what the question is asking for
Added dropdown for the Make/ Model/ Year section
